"That's What Friends Are For"- a song and a mantra
When I became an empty nester, I knew I needed to find a community with a shared purpose to bring joy to the world.
Reading A Cappella Voices has been that and more.
With COVID, we haven't gotten to don our colorful coordinated chorus costumes and bring harmony and laughter to the community, but our chorus has gotten stronger internally as we tend to check in with each other during these rough times.
Because we are a small group that meets every week, we get to talk about the small things in our lives and laugh.
And then, of course, we get to sing together, work to find our harmony together, and work to improve, with our enthusiastic director helping us.
We always end with our chorus song, "That's What Friends Are For”, singing in a circle. That about says it all.
